Sandler Center Bachtoberfest Beer
The Story
To create buzz for an upcoming performance while attracting new audiences, ideas were discussed that could interest the media. From these discussions, the idea was to reach out to a local brewery and discuss a themed brew. The event was centered around composer J.S. Bach and it was in October. During the discussion with the brewery, the idea for "Bachtoberfest" a German Altbier Ale was born.
The Results
This campaign allowed our team the opportunity to reach out to local media to pitch the story of the event and the beer; do a themed media drop; and promote it on social media. Additionally, we were able to get the beer in several local restaurants and grocery stores like Wegmans.

Bernadette Peters & Virginia Beach SPCA
The Story
To help promote the upcoming Bernadette Peters show we decided to reach out to the VB SPCA. Bernadette Peters is a big supporter of shelter animals, so we set up a promotion with the VB SPCA. The promotion was if someone brought a donation in they would receive $10 off a ticket.
The Results
Overall this campaign was a good initiative for us. We were able to get the following companies to post the promotion on social media: VBSPCA, VB Arts, and Town Center of Virginia Beach. The promotion was also included in the paper coverage we got with The Virginian Pilot.
